About Our Method
With the Pilates Process approach, our concern isn’t that the client performs Pilates well, though that will happen over time. Our aim is that Pilates serves the client by helping them develop more efficiency, greater stability, balanced power, and improved posture. This approach is profoundly different from other methods.

Key features of Pilates Process™ training include:

Small Class Sizes
We are detail-oriented and limit class sizes to 12 students so that everyone gets the assistance they need. In fact, we add an assistant when the class is more than 8 students.

Commitment To Students
We really want you to understand the material, not just memorize it! We have developed creative, diverse methods of teaching the material to ensure just that.

Exceptional Teachers
We have extremely high standards for teacher trainers. All of our teacher trainers have extensive experience and are passionate about Pilates, their teaching, and their students.

Therapeutic Pilates
Understandably, not every fitness teacher wants to teach therapeutically. It is a reality, however, that every teacher will come across clients with pain and injury whether they plan to or not. Our training is infused with therapeutic knowledge so that you will feel prepared and confident when those situations arise. Furthermore, if you do want to pursue therapeutic teaching you will be very well prepared to do so.

WORKSHOPS

Workshops will be on a variety of topics. Some will be available to both clients and instructors while others will be specifically for instructors. Check our website for upcoming workshops!

The Founder of Pilates Process™ | PMA® Certified Teacher | Author, Writer | Franklin Method® Educator, L1

As the founder of Pilates Process, like many Pilates teachers, I come from a career in dance. Pilates seemed like a perfect fit for someone with decades of experience analyzing movement and I thought it would be a stepping stone to something else. I never imagined that Pilates would be so compelling that it would become my full-time career and ongoing obsession. After 20 years of teaching, I’m still in love with Pilates and with the process of teaching.

Tiffany has been in constant motion since the day she was born. She danced throughout her childhood and went on to train at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School before dancing professionally with Ballet Kelowna. Through her years of dance, she discovered Pilates and found that it was an important foundation for injury prevention and an excellent way to cross-train. Endless practice hours in the studio working in extraordinary ranges meant that it was a fine line to go from balanced to breakdown. Pilates was the one thing that helped her maintain consistent strength and alignment and aided in recovery from older injuries that would start resurfacing with fatigue and overwork. Through this personal journey, she trained to be a Pilates Instructor in 2010, and then an Instructor Trainer, with Pilates Process. She found this method wonderfully adaptive to all bodies to achieve their optimal function and wanted to bring it to others after her positive experience with it. Now retired from the professional world of ballet, she enjoys running and Olympic lifting. Transition to these sports would not have happened smoothly had Pilates not been her foundation. Tiffany graduated with her Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia in 2018 and is a registered Kinesiologist in BC. She completed a research project on pelvic floor retraining, specifically for the treatment of stress urinary incontinence. She became interested in this subject from her work with many athletes at UBC, postpartum clients, and her own experience with pregnancy and childbirth. She worked closely with Vancouver pelvic floor physiotherapist Trish Gipson (find her at The Cheerful Pelvis!) on the project to develop educational material for clients and the change misconceptions around the pelvic floor and its function within the body. The most fulfilling part of the project was finding that the research confirms much of how and what we already teach through the Pilates Process method. Tiffany has a diverse movement and education background and looks forward to helping you achieve your own movement goals!
