KINESIOLOGY | Active Rehab
Kinesiology is the scientific study of human movement, performance, and function. Kinesiologists apply the science of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, psychology, and neuroscience to human movement and function and work with clients through guided movement sessions and through exercise prescription to help return them to regular participation in sport or loved activities, work, and everyday performance.
Tiffany works through a Pilates lens, utilizing the unique equipment and therapeutic exercise vocabulary to aid with feedback, positioning, and appropriate challenge. She pairs this with strength and conditioning exercises and principles for a well-rounded rehabilitative process. She excels in bridging the gap between rehabilitation and return-to-sport readiness. She also works closely with a network of physiotherapists and dedicated Strength + Conditioning coaches to help clients achieve their best movement possible.
Check with your health insurance provider to see if they cover Kinesiology services before booking.
TEACHER TRAINING
Programs:
Foundational Mat L1/2 | Reformer L1/2 | Cadillac L 1-3 | Chair L1-3 | Mat L3 | Reformer L3 | Therapeutic Pilates
About Our Method
With the Pilates Process approach, our concern isn’t that the client performs Pilates well, though that will happen over time. Our aim is that Pilates serves the client by helping them develop more efficiency, greater stability, balanced power, and improved posture. This approach is profoundly different from other methods.
Key features of Pilates Process™ training include:
Small Class Sizes
We are detail-oriented and limit class sizes to 12 students so that everyone gets the assistance they need. In fact, we add an assistant when the class is more than 8 students.
Commitment To Students
We really want you to understand the material, not just memorize it! We have developed creative, diverse methods of teaching the material to ensure just that.
Exceptional Teachers
We have extremely high standards for teacher trainers. All of our teacher trainers have extensive experience and are passionate about Pilates, their teaching, and their students.
Therapeutic Pilates
Understandably, not every fitness teacher wants to teach therapeutically. It is a reality, however, that every teacher will come across clients with pain and injury whether they plan to or not. Our training is infused with therapeutic knowledge so that you will feel prepared and confident when those situations arise. Furthermore, if you do want to pursue therapeutic teaching you will be very well prepared to do so.
PILATES | Series
A series will be composed of sets of 4-8 classes that occur 1x weekly classes for a specific concept (ie. Running, post-natal, Teen Class, Intro to Pilates etc). Commitment is for the entire series and is not available on a drop-in basis. This provides a unique opportunity to dive into concept-specific challenges and observe a more fine-tuned progression. Please contact us with any questions you may have about our offered series.
